New treatments using Aromatherapy!

I am thrilled to announce that I am now fully qualified to use Aromatherapy within the treatments I currently offer.

So from now on, when you come for an Indian Head Massage I will add essential oils to enhance your treatment. I don't use pre-blended oils as many beauty salons do. At each and every treatment we will choose and create a blend to suit your needs on that day and as a result the treatment time has increased slightly to allow for this.

I will continue to offer the Reflexology treatments you have been used to, but will now also be offering the option of Reflexology with Aromatherapy. Why have just one therapy when you can have the benefits of two packaged into one treatment?! Using aromatherapy oils involves an initial discussion to establish which oils will be best for you at that time, then I will blend the oils into a base cream to use during your treatment. In addition you will get to take the remainder of the cream home with you! Great value at only £42 for 90 minutes of treatment time.

If you already come for, or are considering regular reflexology treatments you could maybe include aromatherapy from time to time, say every 3 months for example, and just enjoy your usual treatments at other times.

Do have a look at my website for further details and don't hesitate to give me a call if you would like to chat further about the treatments I offer and which would be best for you.

If you are a current client revisiting my site I look forward to seeing you again soon. If you are a new client I welcome you to Balancing Reflexions and hope I will meet you in person soon!

My Indian Head Massage Treatments

When I trained in Indian Head Massage I was taught a routine which should take 30 minutes. After a year of trying I have now accepted that I just can't achieve this!! So rather than trying to squeeze it in - which just isn't my style! - I have finally given in and 'officially' increased my treatment time to 40 minutes.

You should always allow up to an hour for this therapy. As it can be so deeply relaxing you must give yourself plenty of time to become grounded again after, have a glass of water and prepare yourself to go back out and into the rest of your day.

Due to the increased time I have also reviewed my pricing for this treatment and it has now increased slightly to £20. I'm sure you will agree that this is still excellent value and I have a special offer of a course of three treatments for just £50 (a saving of £10!).

Vouchers for Indian Head Massage treatments have proved very popular to give as gifts for all occasions and if YOU have never tried this therapy before, why not treat yourself, book in and find out just how relaxing and rejuvenating it is.

Precision Reflexology

I am thrilled and honoured to have begun my training in Precision Reflexology with Jan Williamson who has been integral in developing this exciting and advanced technique throughout the world.

In Precision Reflexology there are a series of 'linking' techniques where reflex points can be linked together to enhance the theraputic effect of the treatment.

If you are wondering if/how my treatments are going to change the answer is that you won't notice much difference at all except you may see that I incorporate some new techniques as I practice what I have been learning. What Precision does is help me to raise awareness of the subtle body of my client, their energy, which in turn helps me to work on a deeper physical, emotional and spiritual level. So in summary you will get a much more holistic treatment for mind, body and soul!

Puzzled? Interested? Want to know more? Do give me a call.... or just come along and experience the wonders of Reflexology!

Update on Ear Candling....

After completing my training and case studies for Hopi Ear Candling.. and much soul searching ..I have decided not to offer this therapy after all.

Why? Because I just don't 100% believe in it's theraputic effects. I quite enjoyed having the treatment myself but I didn't get that 'wow' factor I get from the other therapies I do.

So would I recommend the treatment to others? Yes if you have ear/sinus congestion as I think it can be beneficial and I am happy to help you find a local therapist.

But if you are just after complete relaxation - no, I think other therapies are much better. For instance, I believe that you will get a far greater and instant relaxing effect from Indian Head Massage where I work on the face, neck, shoulders, upper back and arms as well as the scalp.

One of my strongest values as a Complementary Therapist is to only offer you, my clients, those therapies which I firmly believe in and which I am most comfortable performing. There are so many therapies out there and, if I wanted to, it would be relatively easy and quick to add many more to my 'menu'. However, that is not how I want to be. I only want to specialise in those which I truly believe 100% in.

So in summary I am sorry but I will not be offering Hopi Ear Candling after all.

However, do be assured that now and always - in choosing Balancing Reflexions you will be choosing an extensively trained therapist who absolutely believes in and is passionate about every therapy she offers.

What's coming in 2010 from Balancing Reflexions?

Hopi Ear Candling ... A wonderfully relaxing treatment which calms the mind and soothes the head and ears. I plan to start offering this new treatment early in the New Year.

Aromaflex ... Aromaflex is a brand new treatment combining the benefits of Aromatherapy and Reflexology. I will learn how to use essential oils in my treatments and how to select the best one to benefit you and your specific needs. The course is a year long and involves assignments, assessments, case studies and an exam. I hope to be adding this treatment to my portfolio in early 2011.

Precision Reflexology ... I am excited to have an opprtunity to learn some new techniques to enhance my existing reflexology treatments. Working more with the subtle body .. our energy system .. rather than the physical body, using specific 'linking techniques' where two or more reflex points are gently held for a powerful and profound effect. I hope that Precision Reflexology will add a whole new dimension to my treatments and I look forward to being able to incorporate the techniques from July 2010.

Exciting times ahead.....!!

Coming soon..Hopi Ear Candling!!

Hopi Ear Candling is a wonderfully relaxing treatment which calms the mind and soothes the head and ears.

The treatment induces a pleasant feeling of warmth and a balance of pressure in the ears, forhead and sinuses. It is soothing and helpful for earache and headache, ear noise, stress and nervousness. It may also spontaneously cause freer nasal breathing and an improved sense of smell, even when the nose was blocked before treatment.

Keep an eye on my website for more information but I plan to add this treatment to my portfolio early next year.
