Reflection on the festival...

The Mind Body Spirit Festival in London yesterday was interesting...

It was crazily busy. The stalls were far too close together, so much so that you could hardly tell where one ended and another started. I don't know about you but I like to have a good look round first, stand and watch a while and then go back to anything I want to explore further. No chance! I just got swept along with the masses and there was certainly no opportunity to linger anywhere.

The cost of taster treatments was staggering! An example was Iridology - £40 for I think 20 minutes - and there were various psychic readings and therapies to try all costing a small fortune. What totally amazes me is how the therapists can work their way through a never ending conveyor belt of people and be able to give each and every one individual attention and focus. How do they do that?

I would have loved to have stopped some people and asked them if they had found what they were looking for yesterday and in a moment of reflection I wondered what it was that brought people there. For me it was a fact finding exercise - to discover new therapies I had not come across before. I certainly walked away with some leaflets but I did not feel tempted to join any queues to try anything.

Was I disappointed overall? Well yes I was a little. But one thing I have learnt is that there are so many people out there searching for help, insight, healing, answers and renewed energy.

If you can relate to the above and wonder if/how complementary therapies can help, do please give me a call. I am more than happy to chat about the therapies I offer and am always interested to discuss other therapies which may be of interest to you.

Mind Body Spirit Festival - London 2009

I'm really excited to be going to the Mind Body Spirit Festival in London today! There are so many fascinating complementary therapies out there which I would love to know more about and there will be many practitioners exhibiting and running workshops. I will let you know what I discover.....

Next time I write I will also share my experience of one of my favourites with you - yoga. Surprised it is known as a 'complementary therapy'? Yes, I was too until I thought it through and all the wonderful theraputic benefits I receive from it...if you haven't tried it, believe me it is SO much more than just an exercise class.

I would love to hear your views on other complementary therapies too. What have you tried before? Please share your experiences with me...
